Windwood Farm Home for Children

Charleston Apartment Association Gives Back to
Windwood Farm Home for Children

The Charleston Apartment Association (CAA) was honored to recently provide Windwood Farm Home for Children a contribution in the amount of $6,800.  Windwood provides therapeutic residential services to local abused and neglected children providing a safe haven for over 400 children since opening in 1985.  Over 100 CAA members rallied to contribute through participation in a golf tournament dedicated to raise funds and awareness for Windwood.

This year the CAA designated Windwood Farm as the organization’s primary charitable focus.  Through this partnership, the CAA was pleased to be invited and participate in Windwood’s “Got Your Back” campaign.  Supporters of Windwood Farm, including the CAA, were excited to be in the local PR campaign supporting the organization.

“Just as our industry provides housing for thousands of locals, Windwood Farm Home for Children provides housing and a healing environment for local children who need it most.  The Charleston Apartment Association is honored to come together for such a noble cause” said Wendy Tucker, President, Charleston Apartment Association.

The mission of the Charleston Apartment Association is to recognize the vastly increasing role of the apartment industry in providing quality housing.  As members of the Charleston Apartment Association, we have united for the purpose of improving the services of the apartment industry, staying abreast of legislative issues, networking amongst our members, offering educational programs, participating in charitable endeavors, and featuring local and national speakers.  We adhere to and practice the 'Golden Rule' in all our endeavors and conduct ourselves in a forthright and ethical manner to better the communities of which we are a part.
