January Dinner Meeting

January Membership Kick-off Dinner meeting
 
Come kick off 2014 with the Charleston Apartment Association.  Join us Tuesday, January 21 at the Crowne Plaza in North Charleston for the first CAA dinner meeting of the year.  Learn more about the activities planned for 2014.  This meeting offers members (old and new) an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the CAA.  Each committee will have a table providing insight to their goals, how to get involved and a chance to win gift cards.

December Legislative Pulse

Join us in Columbia this February!  This is our opportunity for key leaders to see and meet the faces of our industry, which speaks volumes and resonates throughout the year as vital industry issues are discussed.  We invite all CAA industry allies to join us.  The more Charleston faces in attendance the more we'll leave a lasting impact.

Overview:  A legislative program and overview of current legislation affecting the multi-family housing industry will begin at 9:30am followed by a luncheon with legislators at the State House.  The day will conclude by 3pm.

Registration Information:  The cost is $35 per attendee (includes registration & materials, refreshments and lunch).  Registration begins at 9am, with the meeting commencing at 9:30am.  Confirmation of registration, map/directions and a detailed agenda will be emailed to registrants prior to the event. NAA Capitol Conference
March 9 - 12, 2014

NAA's Capitol Conference is the apartment industry's opportunity each year to tell Congress how its actions impact NAA's 63,000 members. 
The 2014 schedule is packed with educational sessions, expert speakers on policy and politics, a briefing on the issues and a new lunchtime event with members of Congress on Lobby Day.    And for the first time, the schedule has been compacted to allow you to only attend what you want - only NAA governance activities, only advocacy activities  or only the issues briefing and Lobby Day -- but don't let that stop you from attending all of them! This is a big change from previous years that should save time and money for conference participants.

Conference kick-off speakers will be Charlie Cook, editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report and a political analyst for the National Journal Group, and Stuart Rothenberg, editor and publisher of the Rothenberg Political Report and columnist for Roll Call.  The NAA Capitol Conference will prepare you to carry your message on our major industry issues as an informed, effective, confident advocate.  Registration is free and now open.

What is the Vendor Spotlight?
The Vendor Spotlight is a unique marketing opportunity offered by the Charleston Apartment Association that allows vendors to speak about their company in front of a captive audience of industry professionals during the monthly Dinner Meetings and special events when available.

How it Works
During the monthly dinner meetings, the vendor is given the opportunity to talk about their company for up to 10 minutes in front of a captive membership audience. In addition to speaking about the capabilities of your company, the vendor is encouraged to put marketing materials, literature and other promotional items throughout the meeting room or on tables to maximize the opportunity the Vendor Spotlight offers.

The Benefits
Vendor Spotlight is a unique promotional opportunity and a great way to get your company name out to the membership and let them know why they should do business with you.

Details to Participate 
  • Interested vendors are asked to confirm via email including a company logo in jpeg format to info@charlestonapartmentassociation.com.    
  • Vendor spotlight opportunities are available for one vendor at each of the six dinner meetings at a cost of $275 per vendor.
  • Interested vendors are encouraged to respond at the earliest opportunity.  After the first 6 vendors sign-up a wait list will be created.
  • Deadline:  January 3, 2014
