National Apartment Association
Federal, State and Local Issues

The federal issues impacting the apartment industry are vast, ranging from housing finance reform to tax reform to regulatory concerns. Overarching these complex issues is the need for Congress to create a balanced housing policy that recognizes the critical role of apartments in providing shelter for Americans.

States and local policy issues also affect how property owners and managers provide safe, affordable housing to 35 million Americans. The myriad of issues include bed bugs, taxes and fees, building codes and retrofitting and protected classes.

410A certification

410A Course
Date: Tuesday, August 5th
Time: 8:30am-5pm
Place: Belfor, 7629 Southrail Road, North Charleston, SC  29420
Cost: $149/member, $189/non-member

Description:  Technicians will need to be trained in the use of R-410A equipment for safety and because it has some characteristics that R-22 does not. The oil in R-410A is not hydroscopic so installation techniques are more regimented. A deep vacuum must be pulled to ensure that all moisture is removed and destructive acid is not formed.  The HVAC industry will undergo significant changes this year.  It is important to plan accordingly and train appropriately to meet these challenges.  This class is for EPA certified technicians only.   Presented by Chadwell Supply.
