Legislative Pulse

Charleston Apartment Association
Legislative Pulse

The CAA Legislative Pulse is a monthly newsletter designed to keep Charleston Apartment Association members abreast of topical political news impacting our industry.  The CAA Legislative Pulse will be released to members the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Wine Tasting Benefiting the National Apartment Association's Political Action Committee (PAC)

A hearty thank you to the sponsors, attendees and to Woodfield Long Point for making last week's wine tasting a success.  The funds raised go directly toward the National Apartment Association's Political Action Committee (PAC).  PAC's goal is to keep the multifamily rental housing industry at the forefront of legislation.  The impact our industry makes both locally and nationally starts right here at home with local participation.  PAC supports political leaders and candidates who are advocates and open to learning more about our industry.  Their support is vital when topical legislation is on the table.
 CAA's Legislative Committee

We encourage interested members to get involved by joining the CAA's Legislative Committee.  The committee aims to stay informed on local and national legislative issues.  Committee members work closely with lobbyists, South Carolina Apartment Association members and NAA members to achieve common goals.  Each Spring the committee participates in NAA's Capitol Conference held in Washington, DC.  Members interested in joining the committee are welcome to contact Katie Chapman, KChapman@CharlestonApartmentAssociation.com.
